Hugo's Restaurant   has long been a Portland Landmark, in business for over 12 years, but now the only thing that is the same is the name. Owners, Chef Rob Evans and partner Nancy Pugh, have returned to Portland in October of 2000, to bring refined dining . . . a simple, yet classic, casual elegance . . . to once again tempt our palates. An intimate decor, delicious food and excellent service are all well in place! Evans comes to Portland from two of the country's most highly regarded restaurants: the Inn at Little Washington (Washington, VA) and the French Laundry (Napa Valley, CA) bringing his skills and imagination with him.

Chef’s Tasting Menus are the ultimate Hugo's dining experience. These signature multi-course menus are always different, exciting and well worth the wait. (Available with advance reservation only.)

Our bar menu: for those seeking an abridged version of what Hugo's has to offer. This cozy setting is perfect for enjoying a glass of wine, specialty drink or one of our many hand-crafted mini courses that will leave you wanting more.

Hugo's offers a 4 course prix fixe menu and a Bar Menu, which are available nightly. A personalized Chef's Menu, consisting of 8-12 courses, will provide you with the freshest taste of everything Chef Evans has to offer. This menu will leave you with an unforgettable dining experience that has become Hugo's signature. Reservations are required 24 hours in advance for the Chef's Menu. Hugo's is in downtown Portland on the corner of Franklin and Middle Street, a few blocks away from the Old Port. Parking is available on Middle Street diagonally across the street from the restaurant. Hugo's serves dinner Tuesday through Thursday from 5:30-9:00 PM and on Friday and Saturday from 5:30 -9:30 PM.
